INSPECT ZIPPER AND SLIDERS
Any dirt or debrit should be gently removed with a dry brush. Watch for misaligned zipper teeth. If any teeth are misaligned, and gently ride the zipper back and forth over theopen area until teeth fit together and realign. Any time you start the zipper make sure male portion is completely seated in the female portion before zipping. This will prevent misalignment - one of the major causes of zipper failure.
Zippers should be cleaned with a specially formulated cleaning solution such as ZippyCool™ Cleaning Fluid or a soultion of mild soap and water along with a soft brush to remove any dirt, sand, salt deposits and other residue. Allow the zipper to completely air dry before applying any lubrication.
You may wish to treat your zipper with a recommeded product such as ZippyCool™ Lubricating Wax System.
